The winemaker

Xavier COPEL was born in Cahors in 1968, and graduated from the University of OEnology in Toulouse. After winemaking in Cahors and at Domaine de Chevalier, he moved to Bordeaux in 1992, where he set up his own trading company. Over the years, he has developed his activities as a négociant-grower and consultant in the heart of the greatest terroirs of Bordeaux, the South-West and Spain. He has travelled extensively in these regions, forging close ties with the best winegrowers. The mutual trust and complicity resulting from this period are the essential assets in the creation of the new range bearing his name. The philosophy: To create a unique, long-term partnership with a single winemaker per appellation, who owns his vineyards on the best terroirs in his appellation. Work from one year to the next on the same plot of carefully selected old vines, with the native grape varieties that best express the full potential of the terroirs on which they are planted. Pooling all technical resources and skills with the winemaker to vinify and age the finest possible wine. The result is "haute couture" wines, complex, precise, fine and elegant, luxuriously aged and dressed.
