The winemaker
Château Trotanoy: a tercentenary vineyard
Although managed by the Moueix family since 1953, the estate belonged to the Giraud family from the 18th century until the end of the Second World War.
Chateau Trotanoy's difficult-to-grow terroir.
While today the estate's clay terroir benefits from technological advances, winemakers once struggled to work this pebble-filled, iron-enriched clay. However, two grape varieties flourish here: Merlot and Cabernet Franc.
Château Trotanoy: an exceptional Pommerol
The blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc produces an exceptional Pommerol whose best vintage is 2009.
