The history of Château Trapaud
Located in Saint-Étienne-de-Lisse, just 5 minutes from the village of Saint Émilion, Château Trapaud spans the communes of Saint Hyppolite, Saint Magne de Castillon and Saint Genès de Castillon. For 4 generations, this estate has passed through the hands of wine enthusiasts, as witnessed by the current heiress Béatrice Larribière.
Characteristics of the terroir and vineyard of Château Trapaud
With a surface area of 25 hectares, 18 hectares of which are dedicated to vineyards, Château Trapaud uses ancestral know-how and modern techniques to produce exceptional wines that are highly reputed in the region. In 2009, Béatrice Larribière decided to modernize the estate and convert it to organic farming, with a view to respecting the environment.
The wines of Château Trapaud
The wines produced at Château Trapaud are of the highest quality. They are aged in oak barrels to preserve all the flavors of the grapes. Several cuvées are produced at this estate, including Château Trapaud Saint Émilion Grand Cru, a wine made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Cabernet Franc, or the organic white wine "Vin de France" made exclusively from Sauvignon gris.
