The winemaker

Chateau Rol-Valentin: complementary terroirs

With a surface area of 7.3 hectares, the Château Rol Valentin vineyard is made up of two complementary terroirs. These two parts of the vineyard are separated by 7 kilometers, but remain within the continuity of the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru plateau. The Saint-Emilion terroir is a soil containing sandy glacis over clay, while the Saint-Etienne-de-Lisse terroir is a soil of limestone plateau and clay-limestone coteau.
