The winemaker
The Château Raymond-Lafon vineyard
Château Raymond-Lafon boasts 18 hectares (80% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon), 16 of which are in production, on a combination of clay-limestone and gravel soils. The average age of the vines is around 40 years.
The wines of Château Raymond-Lafon
Yields are extremely low: just 8.5 hl/ha. The team harvests the botrytized grapes grain by grain, sometimes up to 10 passages to obtain between 60 and 70 barrels of wine.
