The winemaker
As a student in Paris, Carlos Asserretto had no idea that he would be running a wine estate of several hectares in the Bordeaux region.
It was when he joined his father-in-law, a winegrower in Saint Pierre de Mons, that he discovered a real passion for the world of wine.
After two years working alongside him, he decided to start his own adventure with four hectares in the Sauternes region, before acquiring four hectares of red gravel a year later. In 1990, Carlos decided to build his own winery in Fargues on the Quincarnon estate, a château whose history dates back to the 17th century.
The Quincarnon estate is located just 1.5 kilometers from the famous Château d'Yquem.
