The winemaker
The 47 hectares of Château Puygueraud vineyards, 42 of black grapes and 5 of white grapes, are divided into 67 parcels. These are planted on clay-limestone soils and subsoils composed of asteriated limestone, clay and marl.
80% of the vineyard is planted with Merlot, 15% with Cabernet Franc and 5% with Malbec. The white wines are a blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Gris. Château Puygueraud comes from the clay-limestone plateau and hillsides of the Côtes de Francs appellation. It is a rich, fruity and spicy wine.
