The winemaker

A vast terroir


Three typical vineyards stretch over no less than 177 hectares and two appellations: Bordeaux Supérieur and Côtes de Duras. The king grape varieties are representative: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Merlot.

The wines of Château Picon


The company offers a range of red wines typical of their appellation. Merlot dominates, and the main wine is well-balanced to its advantage, a game and braised meat wine that will delight many a table. Two more upmarket wines have more personality. The house also offers a dry white that is a safe bet and very affordable, as well as a very pleasant Bordeaux rosé.
