The winemaker
Nairac Castle, built at the end of the old regime by Jean Mollié disciple of Victor Louis, takes its name from the family of Huguenots owners who acquired the property in 1777. Nairac, Second Cru classified in 1855, is therefore 1868 in the second edition of Féret noted the example of the greatest. Château Nairac enjoys a typical limestone subsoil of low compound Barsac for some plots, serious and other calcareous marl. The 16ha vineyard is very well exposed and has an excellent natural drainage. The vines are composed of 90% Semillon, 6% and 4% Muscadelle Sauvignon. The average age of the vines is 45 years. Nicolas-Tari Heeter not use in any case of chaptalisation (adding sugar), or other cryoextraction acidification in some cases, flatter wine.
