The winemaker

The estate of Château Malescasse is created on the hillside village of Lamarque in 1824 by the family Renouil which develops and build the castle. The Pineguy family bought the property in 1887 and planted it the best bass vineyards located on the most beautiful ridges of the town. The renovation of the facilities used to produce a quality wine that is believed to be classified bourgeois supérieur in 1932. In 2012, Philippe Austruy acquired Château Malescasse with the desire to produce wines of excellence and ambition to hoist the among the best in the Haut-Médoc appellation. This businessman, wine lovers, engages in the rebirth of the area, with a quality requirement for this cru bourgeois to high potential. Already the owner of the Commanderie de Peyrassol flagship wines of Provence, he surrounds himself with experts and provides a real wine expertise. With his team, he sees thoroughly viticulture, wine making and performance to reveal the extent of the quality of the Bordeaux region.
