The winemaker
Every year, around 5 hectares of vines fail to produce grapes, either because the old vines have been uprooted and the land left to rest for at least three years, or because the vines planted are still too young to produce a quality wine. Of these 65 hectares, 16.5 are located in the communes of Bonzac and Galgon in the Bordeaux Supérieur appellation area. They produce the wine of Château Tour d'Auron. The remaining 48.5 hectares, located in the commune of Lussac, belong to the Lussac Saint Emilion appellation area and are the source of Château Lyonnat wines. The property's main asset is that all these parcels are grouped around the château in a perimeter of less than one kilometer.
