The winemaker

The Château Lusseau, a heritage of the nobility

Château Lusseau, owned by Bérengère Quellien, has been in her family for several generations. A descendant of the Comte de Granvilliers, Bérangère Quellien is a former lawyer who became a winemaker in the early 2000s. The building and winery were constructed in the early 19th century, and it was not until the late 1960s that Bérangère Quellien's parents took over the running of the estate.

Chateau Lusseau, a committed estate

The Château Lusseau estate has been cultivating its vines organically since 2007, and they have been AB-certified since 2010. The estate covers 7 hectares of vines, including 6.5 hectares of reds planted with Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Malbec. The white varieties include Sauvignon, Semillon and a few Muscadelle vines.

Chateau Lusseau, precious vintages

The Château Lusseau vineyard offers two red cuvées for sale: Cuvée Barrique, a top-of-the-range wine aged in oak barrels for 12 to 14 months, and Cuvée Bérangère, a simpler wine with more structured aromas. Its white wine is characterized by citrus notes and woody freshness.
