The winemaker

Three wines produced at Château LUCAS: Lucas Castle: 10 hectare property are devoted to this production of 70 000 bottles. This wine is a blend of 50% Merlot and 50% Cabernet Franc. The harvest for manual part and the other to the machine. Since the 2000 vintage, 15 to 20% of the wine is aged in barrels before enrich the rest of the wine. Grand Lucas: 6 hectares of the property allows the production of this wine, in equal bays Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Manual harvest and a severe selection can produce a wine rich in flavors and colors. Aging in barrels of 2 and 3 wines is a must for this wine to. Spirit of Lucas 3 hectare property producing "An exceptional wine" in great vintages, 1998, 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005, 2009, 2010 (different assembly for 1998: 100% Merlot, 50% Merlot - 50 % Cabernet franc in 2005), derived from selected parcels of old vines (1, 5-4 ha). This wine from 12 to 24 months in new barrels (50 to 100%).
