The winemaker

Château Le Sèpe is a wine estate covering some 20 hectares in the Bordeaux region. In 2009, after training in viticulture and oneology as well as training at Château Ferrière (classified growth Margaux), Catherine and Dominique Guffond embarked on this crazy wine adventure by buying the estate. It is located near Saint-Emilion, on the clay-limestone slopes of Sainte-Radegonde in a classified area.

The vineyard plots are located at an altitude of about 75 to 100 metres above the level of the Dordogne. This positioning limits the harmful effects of too much humidity and too thick a fog caused by the proximity of the river. Since 2020, the estate has been certified in organic farming. The serious and passionate work of the team and the oenologist of the domain Jean-François Rontein has allowed their wines to receive numerous awards over the years.
