The winemaker

A renowned terroir with well-tended vineyards

The terroir lies at the heart of the Margaux appellation, and is characteristic of it with its deep, stony and partly silty gravel. The 30 hectares are cultivated in a sustainable manner, with half the grape varieties planted with Cabernet-Sauvignon, almost as much Merlot, and a small proportion of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.

The wines of Château Labégorce

Château Labégorce is a well-balanced Margaux Cru Bourgeois, a sure bet in its appellation. It's a wine for laying down, excellent for 8 to 15 years. The color is bright and greedy, and the nose rich, concentrated red fruit where black cherry dominates. On the palate, it displays an astonishing structure that is confirmed by time, with rich tannins and exceptional length.
