The winemaker

Château la Vieille Croix is a discreet estate with a rich history, set in a unique terroir of Fronsadais molasse. Before becoming part of Vignobles Invindia, the estate was a family affair, with 8 generations of women at its head. When Jean-Pierre and his partner, Emmanuel, bought the estate in 2015, they knew it well, as Jean-Pierre had been selling the estate's wines for several years and was convinced of the estate's potential to make great wines. However, it will be necessary to restructure the vineyard by replanting certain plots, replacing those that are missing, and maintaining the old vines that are over fifty years old, in order to restore life and sparkle to this promising estate. Once the restructuring was complete, Hugues and his team were able to exploit the full potential of the Château la Vieille Croix terroir. Whether it's a cuvée aged for over 12 months in barrique or a "glouglou de copain" red matured in concrete tanks, you'll be amazed by the wines from this estate.
