The winemaker
Château La Haye, a royal history
Its history dates back to 1557, when the first vines were planted here. Thereafter, the estate remained in the same family for almost 4 centuries. The symbol on the labels of Château La Haye wines is a royal monogram, as legend has it that King Henri II and Diane de Poitiers liked to meet here, and engraved their monogram at the entrance to the château gates.
Château La Haye, an exceptional terroir
The Médoc vineyard covers more than 11 hectares of vines where several grape varieties are grown, the majority of which are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Its gravelly soil is similar to that of other Médoc AOCs, although the percentage of clay is slightly higher.
Château La Haye, unique wines
Château La Haye presents remarkable wines such as Fief de La Haye 2016 (60% Cabernet Sauvignon and 40% Merlot), Château La Haye 2016 which is a flagship wine of the estate composed of 65% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 6% Petit Verdot and 4% Cabernet Franc. The estate also offers two limited-edition cuvées: Majesté De La Haye and La Haye 1557.
