The winemaker
Château La Fleur de Boüard's terroir and vineyard characteristics
This estate covers 25 hectares and has the unique feature of being a dual terroir. 17 hectares are planted in clay and gravel on the Néac plateau, while the remaining 8 hectares are planted in coarse gravel. The red grape varieties are threefold: 85% Merlot, 12% Cabernet Franc and 3% Cabernet Franc.

Château La Fleur de Boüard presents 3 wines. The plus is the château's wine of excellence. Made from the vineyard's old vines, it was voted best Merlot in the world in 2001. The second is La Fleur, a mainstay of the Lalande de Pomerol appellation. The third is the latest addition: Le lion.
