The winemaker
Land and vineyards of Château L'enclos
From the 19th century onwards, the quality of Château L'enclos wines earned them a prestigious reputation. Bordeaux wines from these gravelly, silico-clay soils are frequent guests at France's finest tables. Geological formations are not the only reason for this success. Because the craftsmen know that genetics influence the taste of the wine, they use only Merlot, Cabernet franc and a little Malbec.
The wines of Château L'enclos
In Château L'enclos' Pomerol, Malbec, Cabernet franc and Merlot blend to produce an exquisite flavor. Round and fruity, the Bordeaux is dense yet refined. Produced at a rate of 40,000 bottles a year, 95% is sold through the wine trade.
