The winemaker

At Château Haut-Macô, modernity is at the service of nature. The estate is divided into 73 parcels, each with its own soil and subsoil analysis. These analyses enable us to balance each parcel by adding (humus) or removing mineral elements (grassing). This natural balance is maintained over the years. Interpretation of data from a weather station installed on the estate enables us to intervene with curative treatments rather than preventive ones as before. This method, known as "integrated pest management", limits the use of phytosanitary products to what is strictly necessary, thus respecting the fauna of the vineyard and its environment.
