The winemaker
The typicity of the Domaines' wines is reflected in the diversity of their soils. Unlike most Médoc estates, where Cabernet is grown, at Domaines Rollan de By, Merlot takes pride of place. Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon are also grown. Château Greysac is a Médoc wine produced on a terroir of quaternary rolled pebbles on a limestone and clay subsoil, on the banks of the Gironde. For this wine, particular care is taken with the vines, resulting in exceptional vintages.
