The winemaker

Château Grand Destieu, founded in 1930, is located in the southern part of the Saint-Émilion jurisdiction, a region more than a thousand years old and listed as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The vineyard covers 5 hectares of sandy and gravelly soil. It is made up of old vines that are particularly tasty, with a majority of Merlot grapes, accompanied by Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon. After three years of vineyard expansion and cellar modernization, the estate is now run by Bernard Debacque, surrounded by his team of top experts: cellar master, oenologist and environmental consultant. This family-run business, on a human scale, is committed to a high level of wine quality and to HVE-3 environmental certification. This certification aims to limit inputs as much as possible to guarantee a healthy product. Sold exclusively by the bottle, Château Grand Destieu, AOC Saint-Émilion Grand Cru, is our top-of-the-range flagship product. It is vinified and aged for two years in foudres and French oak barrels. With a single-minded focus on excellence and customer satisfaction, Château Grand Destieu is recognized as one of the finest nuggets of Saint-Émilion's great wines.
