Features of the Château Filhot estate
Château Filhot was founded in 1709 by Romain de Filhot. The current owner is Count Henri de Vaucelles. The estate boasts over 60 hectares of vines. It is highly appreciated for its wine. It also boasts a vast park. The estate presented here is located in the Gironde department, in the commune of Sauternes. In the Sauternes AOC, it is ranked second grand cru in the official "Vins de Bordeaux de 1855" class.
The wines of Château Filhot
Château Filhot wine stands out for its fine liqueur and freshness. We also like its balance, elegance and mineral character. You can try many vintages from 2000 to 2018. The 2001, in particular, is one of the most appreciated, thanks to its minerality and citrus aromas. The 2007 is fresher and lighter. It offers a hint of acidity. Château Filhot's grand vin represents almost 60,000 bottles, or about half of production.
