The winemaker
The exceptional terroir of Château Ferran
On clay-limestone soil (Miocene), the Lacoste family, for five generations, has nurtured Cabernet, Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot grapes for the reds, and Semillon and Sauvignon for the whites. Château Ferran extends over 70 hectares, with century-old trees protecting the vines.
The Château Ferran crus
Château Ferran's emblematic red cuvée, eponymous, is a hand-harvested blend of Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, with a supple, fruity mouthfeel, with characteristic Bordeaux woody tones that remain light. The eponymous Cuvée Blanche, featuring the same grape variety, offers an elegant, mineral structure, with hints of grapefruit.
