The winemaker
For centuries, the Chevaliers de Védrines owned an estate to which they left their name. Grand cru classé in 1855, it was acquired by the ancestors of the current owners in the mid-19th century. For almost 200 years, the Castéja family has passionately run Château Doisy-Védrines, whose main building dates back to the 16th century. The combination of modern techniques and traditional craftsmanship gives Château Doisy-Védrines wines the great qualities of sap and finesse demanded of Sauternes premier crus.
