The winemaker
The Chateau des Granges d'Or is located in the Medoc appellation of the Bordeaux region renowned for its red wines. The vineyard covers an area of 27 hectares. It consists of the typical varieties of the Médoc. Indeed, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc are on the soil of ideal factors to their proper ripening. Near the Atlantic, the vines are protected from excessive temperatures and have a warm and humid climate. The importance of field performance has earned it the name The Golden Granges. Since 1973, the vineyard belongs to Lieu and Joannon families. The 2000s marked a new era. The cellar was expanded and renovated. Today barrel aging can take place in very good conditions with the new aging cellar. The field of wine amounted to 60% in tanks and 40% in barrels, they are then assembled thereby wooded delicacy ally.
