Château de Respide

4
(88 customer reviews)
Château de Respide is one of the oldest winegrowing estates in Graves, a historic Bordeaux appellation. The estate was founded under Louis XIV. Later, it was frequented by painter Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, who loved its white wines. Today, the Bonnet family manages the vineyard, established on quality terroirs of deep gravel, sandy-clay and clay-limestone, with constant concern for the environment, creating spaces and nesting boxes for wildlife to preserve bio-diversity. The winemaker

Château de Respide ranks among the oldest vineyards in the Graves in the Bordeaux region. It was in 1952 that the grandfather of the current owner, M. Bonnet, took over the reins of the estate. His grandson Franck Bonnet and his great-granddaughter now look after the vineyard. This estate combines tradition and modernity, blending new cultural and oenological practices, and testing new technologies to ensure constant renewal.

This family of winegrowers is deeply attached to the terroir it works on a daily basis, and is driven by the desire to produce wines that mirror their distinctive Bordeaux region. The estate produces expressive, rich and elegant wines that respect the environment. Respide is certified Haute Valeur Environnementale 3 and produces wines recognized for their quality and accessibility.
