The winemaker
The Château de Pitray vineyard
Of the estate's 130 hectares, 36 are dedicated to vines, and particularly to the Merlot (73%), Cabernet Franc (23%) and Malbec (4%) grape varieties. The vines are 30 years old on average, and grow on a clay-limestone terroir where biodiversity is preserved as far as possible.
The wines of Château de Pitray
The team makes two styles of wine, the first vinified in stainless steel tanks for a gourmet, fruity side, the second in barrels for more complex cuvées.
