The winemaker

In the family for over 150 years, this beautiful estate is currently owned by Madame Jean-Marie Gadenne. The vineyard, which extends over 7 hectares of sunny hillsides with clay-limestone soil, is run by a family-owned non-trading company. Cultivation and vinification are traditional. The majority Merlot grape (70%) is blended with Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon. Careful vinification followed by controlled ageing (in vats or barrels) produce fine, aromatic, supple and full-bodied wines, particularly sought-after by customers in Belgium and Northern France. Vinification and bottling take place in the Château's own cellars. The Château de Musset estate, located in the former commune of Parsac, is of ancient origin, as evidenced by a beautiful vaulted cellar topped by an elegant 18th-century colonnade overlooking the vines and pond. The estate was purchased in 1887 by Pierre Musset and has been handed down from generation to generation. Madame Jean-Marie Gadenne is Pierre Musset's great-granddaughter. - Pierre (1840) & Jeanne Musset - Bernard - Léon (1868) & Alice Musset - Ansonaux - Emile & Jeanne (1897) Van Den Boogaerde - Musset - Jean-Marie & Michelle (1922) Gadenne - Van Den Boogaerde Today, Château de Musset remains a gathering place for the family. Numerous events provide the opportunity to welcome guests and showcase the estate.
