The winemaker

Château de Malle, a listed historic monument, is a superb residence surrounded by stunning Italian gardens. Built at the dawn of the 17th century by Jacques de Malle, descendant of an old Preignac family and President of the Bordeaux Parliament, it has remained in the same family ever since, without ever being alienated. Over the centuries, the estate has experienced many vicissitudes. The Château was not regularly inhabited for almost two generations. It was in the early 1950s that Pierre de Bournazel took over the property inherited from his uncle and godfather Pierre de Lur-Saluces. Since the death of her husband in 1985, the Comtesse de Bournazel has devoted herself to continuing his work.
