The winemaker
Château de France has been mentioned in reference books since 1874. The vineyard extends over one of the highest slopes in the commune of Léognan. Bernard Thomassin acquired Château de France in 1971. Since then, numerous investments have been made without interruption. The vineyard has been completely restored. The vat room and cellars have been renovated and restructured. Château de France has a single objective: to make a great wine. Arnaud Thomassin, who arrived in 1996, now runs the estate in the same spirit as his father Bernard. The wines are sold in France and all over the world, in recognition of the quality and work accomplished by the Thomassin family for over forty years now.
