The winemaker
Hidden away at the end of a winding road in the Médoc terroir, Château Camensac is a haven of peace and vineyards. The history of the estate is poorly documented, but its advent took place in 1964 when Jacques Merlaut and Enrique Forner took over the château. Located in the commune of Saint-Laurent-du-Médoc, the 75 hectares of vines are part of the Haut-Médoc AOC. The vineyard is ranked 5th Grand Cru in the official Bordeaux wine classification of 1855. The château is run by Celine Villars-Foubet and Jean Merlaut. They make wines from Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.
