Located between Bordeaux and Saint Emilion, in the heart of the Entre-Deux-Mers, Château de Camarsac, often called "Castle Black Prince" was built in the early fourteenth century for its oldest part, by a nephew of Pope Clement V. We already find traces of the vineyard in 1408. After the transformation of the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries, were built in the south, two additional wings in the eighteenth century and beautiful common. The set was then decorated in the nineteenth battlements. This constant evolution has enabled Castle Camarsac register sustainably in its environment. It is for this to continue under a fully photovoltaic chai was built in 2011 by Thierry Lurton. To cook, or rather to have several recipes to present you better have a variety of ingredients. In search of flavors rather than the oenological purity, Thierry Lurton, in addition Camarsac traditional soil (clay and limestone or deep clays) and that of magnifiers purchased by his father Lucien (clayey gravelly and boulbènes), Thierry made the vineyards grow, approaching the banks of the Dordogne. So on the heights of Cabara and Saint Aubin de Branne, he selected magnificent limestone soil covered with a layer of clay. Sainte Terre, 200 meters from the Saint Emilion, he went for lighter land (sandy clay) for its lighter wines.
