The winemaker
Château David is one of the appellation's most northerly estates, located at the entrance to Vensac, one of the typical villages of the Médoc. Cradled between two waters, the Atlantic Ocean to the west and the Gironde Estuary to the east, the vineyard enjoys a mild, temperate climate. After belonging for five generations to the same winemaking family, the estate was taken over at the end of 2015 by two wine enthusiasts and lovers of the land, originally from Brittany: Isabelle and Thierry KERDREUX. They perpetuate the spirit of their predecessors to offer a wine in the pure Médoc tradition, while infusing it with more environmentally-friendly values.
Starting in 2015, they radically changed their farming methods, limiting inputs and favoring those of natural origin. Today, Thierry and Isabelle have taken up part of the challenge and continue to write a new history at Château David, more committed to preserving the environment.
