The winemaker

The history of the Château Dalem vineyard

Dating back to the 17th century, the estate remained in the same family for almost three centuries. Handed over to Michel Rullier in 1955, the estate continues to be modernized by his daughter Brigitte. In addition to opening up to international markets, she is committed to continuing the estate's development between tradition and modernity, notably with the recent construction of a new winery and vat room.

Chateau Dalem vineyard characteristics

The estate covers 40 hectares, nearly 90% of which is devoted to Merlot. The grapes are harvested by hand. The vineyard faces south and extends over clay-limestone slopes. The micro-parcel technique allows precision work and sublimates the richness and diversity of the terroir.
