The winemaker
The terroir of Château Branas Grand Poujeaux
A terroir nestled in the heart of the Médoc, the soil here is typical of the Bordeaux region: gravelly soils favoring natural drainage allow perfect ripening of the fruit. The grape varieties are Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, plus a small parcel of Petit Verdot, covering 17 hectares.
The wines of Château Branas Grand Poujeaux
Château Branas Grand Poujeaux offers racy, full-bodied and powerful red wines. The "Château Branas Grand Poujeaux" astonishes with its maturity combined with great precision, giving it an atypical personality. The much more restrained "Éclats de Branas" cuvée is fruity and well-balanced, with subtle tannins, to be drunk young.
