Purchased in 1996, Château Boutisse is managed by Xavier Milhade. It is located in the commune of Saint Christophe des Bardes, one of the best communes in the Saint-Emilion AOC. The estate is rather large for the appellation, with 23 hectares planted with Merlot. Major investments have been made in the vineyard since 1996, with several plots of vines completely replanted. Château Boutisse boasts an exceptional terroir of limestone and clay. What's more, some plots face south, while others are planted on hillsides.
