The winemaker

Château Boutinet is located in Villegouge on the Fronsac hillsides. It is run by a passionate couple: Jérôme and Nathalie Depoizier-Escuredo. Jérôme trained as a winemaker, while Nathalie is an interpreter and hiking guide. Both decided to continue their studies at the oenology faculty where they first met.

United by this same passion, in 2011 they bought this estate, which covers 27 hectares and brings together vines, woods, meadows and a ruined château. Since then, they have devoted themselves entirely to reviving this forgotten eighteenth-century estate, which was already known as Domaine de Boutinet.

From the outset, Nathalie and Jérôme have cultivated their land in a sustainable manner. In 2013, they began using organic methods before fully embarking on an organic conversion in 2017 with ECOCERT certification. This process was completed by the construction of a Yurt made of wood and recycled materials, to welcome the public.
