The winemaker
Closer to home, Mr. Hugon, a former justice of Castelnau, author of a note on the town, note the presence of a noble house that belonged in 1455 to Jean de Bouqueyran, squire. Bernique Bouqueyran of the possessed from 1465 to 1475. The last lord of this fief was John Genouillat. Near the castle was built a chapel under the invocation of St. Michel. During the Revolution, it was sold as national property and demolished. The lords of Bouqueyran disappeared, only remains the nobility of his vineyard. Early in the century, the owners of this vintage harvested forty barrels on the rump of Bouqueyran and on the southern slope of Puy de Minjon. The fineness and elegance of the wines had a Cru Bourgeois.
