The winemaker
Merlot is the grape variety given pride of place in the Château Bellevue Mondotte vineyard. It accounts for 90% of the blend. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, 5% each, make up the balance. Only one wine is produced: Château Bellevue Mondotte. It holds the Saint-Emilion Grand Cru appellation. The terroir of this vineyard is considered exceptional, combining sunshine, natural drainage and poor soils.
