The winemaker
Chateau Batailley, a prestigious terroir
Located in Pauillac in Gironde, the vineyard boasts a surface area of 57 hectares for an average production of 275,000 bottles per year. Its soils are composed of silica and gravel. Thanks to these soils, the 40-year-old vines benefit from good ripening of their tannins. Château Batailley's wines are elegant and full-bodied, in the image of its vineyard.
The style of Château Batailley
Château Batailley produces crimson to black wines which, with ageing, evolve towards a deep ruby color. On the nose, they are complex and concentrated, with predominantly woody and spicy notes. On the palate, they are full-bodied with omnipresent tannins. Powerful yet well-balanced, Château Batailley wines have great finesse.
