The Château Bastor-Lamontagne vineyard


Château Bastor-Lamontagne boasts almost 50 hectares of Semillon (80%) and Sauvignon (20%), planted on gravelly-sandy terroir mixed with clay.

The wines of Château Bastor-Lamontagne


Thanks to the River Ciron, which favors the formation of mists, Semillon grapes are affected by botrytis cinerea, a fungus that sucks up water and leaves sugar behind. The concentrated grapes are harvested and pressed to produce a wine rich in residual sugars.
