Bordeaux appellation wines are traditionally blended and distributed according to the winemaker's decision and the terroir. Bordeaux appellation wines are light-bodied, fruity and easy to drink. They must meet strict specifications to obtain the appellation.
2006 was a difficult vintage. It was a winemaker's vintage. The winter was cold and hard, with snowy spells. Spring was wet, which allowed mildew to spread. The mid-June thaw turned to drought. August was miserable. Finally, a fine month of September enabled the grapes to be harvested at excellent ripeness. The good winegrowers succeeded in producing a great vintage.
