In a few words ...
The Château Sainte Barbe vineyard currently covers 27 hectares, 80% of which is planted with Merlot, with the remaining 20% divided between Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. A complex, elegant Bordeaux Supérieur with aromas of sun-kissed black fruit and vanilla. The wine has been aged in partly new barrels for 10 months and will easily keep for ten years.

A delight for the taste buds. The tannins are fine and delicate, the aromas of jammy fruit bring great depth and the finish oscillates between spices and a note of bitter cocoa. Top-notch!

Very, very good value for money. Looks like a Haut-Médoc with its delicate peat. On the palate: round, silky, very fine woody aroma, just candied fruit. It doesn't have the complexity of a great old classified wine, but it represents its Bordeaux homeland very well, with its balanced depth, the quiet harmony of its tannins and that characteristic mineral and leathery perfume.
