Bordeaux appellation wines are traditionally blended and distributed according to the winemaker's decision and the terroir. Bordeaux appellation wines are light-bodied, fruity and easy to drink. The 1986 vintage was an excellent one, with a large crop. The red wines were austere and tannic. The Cabernets were highly colored, with little nose to begin with, and just needed to age.
