2013: the sky has fallen! One year follows another... After the difficult weather in 2012 and the hope of a calm year in 2013, the whims of nature decided otherwise! After a very cold and snowy winter, spring was less than radiant, with a lot of humidity and coolness, leading to a strong outbreak of mildew and late flowering. By the end of May, the vines were already 15 days behind schedule. Fortunately, the region enjoyed a very sunny summer, allowing the grapes to perfect their ripeness. This was finalized by light rainfall in September, which gave the grapes a little more volume. As a result, the 2013 harvest at Moulin-à-Vent is larger than that of the historically low 2012 vintage. Harvesting began on October 1 at Domaine Labruyère in excellent conditions, but in cold, dry weather. The grapes were in perfect health. You have to go back more than 20 years to find such harvest dates. For the moment, this vintage is proving to be greedy, full-bodied, fruity and dense.

Intense reddish-black color with violet highlights.
Aroma
Notes of red berries (cherry pit) on the nose, evolving with aeration to floral (peony/rose petal) and spicy (clove) notes.

Taste
Dense and elegant, with spicy notes and a touch of minerality reflecting its terroir. Structured and complex, with enveloping, easily digestible tannins. Long, full and racy finish, great finesse.
