The winemaker

Soils in the Mâconnais range from clay and limestone to granite. Gamay is the only grape variety used in Beaujolais for red wines, which are renowned for their elegance and fruity notes. The region's white wines have a fruity, floral aroma. The Mâconnais, meanwhile, is the realm of subtle, racy white wines, with flavors of white fruit and almond. All Henry Fessy wines benefit from a traditional vinification method that sublimates the terroir and gives the wines finesse and character.
