The winemaker

In 1890, Antoine Vermorel, my great-grandfather and winegrower in Fleurie au Point du Jour, bought a farmhouse in a place called "Les Grands Fers" to set up his business. After more than 120 years, I'm proud to run this small estate, made up of some of the most fabulous terroirs in the Fleurie appellation.... les Roches, les Côtes, les Garands and les Moriers. A cultivation close to nature, based on observation and patience, meticulous vinification carried out in the most absolute tradition, a long and noble ageing in wood (foudres and barrels) reveal the blood of these old Gamays, colored, perfumed, rich and racy. The average age of the vines is relatively high, resulting in very reasonable production. The vast majority of our wines are sold in bottles for export, as well as on the French domestic market.
