The winemaker

Family farm for five generations, the Domaine des Maisons Neuves is located in the municipality of Saint Lager, at the foot of the famous Mont Brouilly in the heart of the Beaujolais vineyards. The farm covers about 40 hectares including 8 hectares of Brouilly. The rest of the property is divided between the different appellations produced and marketed by direct sale on the farm. The harvest is carried out manually by a meticulous sorting. It is with great care that they cultivate their vines and vinify their wines in order to provide a guarantee of quality wine. Multiple medals, awards they are presented annually. It all started in 1890 when Peter Ham became winemaker in the municipality of Marchampt. In 1908, his son Etienne settled on Saint Lager. Today, and since 2001, it's Dominique Ham who took over the estate. With this change of ownership, several new wines appear Domain New Homes, based Pinot Gris and Viognier, and Beaujolais Blanc. By dint of effort and work, one of their wines has been named "best gamay the world." Domaine des Maisons Neuves is a sure Beaujolais to discover urgently!
