Domaine Comte de Monspey is a family estate deeply rooted in the wine history of the Beaujolais. Founded in 1632, it is now run by the 12th generation of the family. The winemaker

The Domaine Comte de Monspey is a family estate founded in 1632 by Etienne de Monspey, a close friend of King Henri IV. 12 generations later, it is Paul and Loïc Gibert who manage the estate. The Domaine Comte de Monspey is a true witness to the evolution of wine-making know-how and is a guardian of tradition. Vinification and maturing techniques dating back to the 18th century and preserved in the Domaine's cellar books are still used today to make the wines. Paul and Loïc Gibert, representing the new generation, look after the family heritage while keeping an eye on the future: "If we are proud of the wine tradition we inherit, we hope to pass on another one to you: that of taste, of the good, of the beautiful, of the true.
